En vecka 2011

Last week I participated in Ali Edwards week in the life-project. This was the first time for me, and I was very much unsure if I could do it at all. I'm kind of tired out this summer, for a lot of reasons, and I didn't want to take on more than I could finish.
BUT, as always I'm so tempted by this kinds of projects: to capture a bit of everyday-life and to make a nice album of it in the end. So I decided to give it a try. I also decided not to blog about it every day, and not to participate in the week in the life-forum at BPC, just to make things easier. (I am a member at the forum, and read a little, but I don't write.)
Now, I just want to share a few favorite photos from the week, which I started at Sunday 24 and ended at Friday 29, as it happend to be.
Sunday, reading books in the sofa, together.

Monday, summerlunch.

Tuesday. We have an all time high in cherries this year, and a lot of time has been spent on harvest.Wednesday. Our tiny, tiny laundryroom, that works so well, and that we like so much.

Thursday. Waking up together on a summermorning.

Thursday. Friends visiting and intense playing= lot of stuff on the floor.

Thursday, three lovely kids!



Friday and the three lovely kids has left the building. We are celebrating our 16th anniversary all on our own.

One little word Blog Hop

Welcome to the One little word Blog Hop for March 1st, and my word PATH.
In February our assignment was to simply photograph our word, in as many ways as possible. All I can say is that things are a bit vague...

It's been really hard to live with my word in any sensitive way this month. I just have no idea of what to do with it. I wanted to know my path, and... I still do. All I can see is some diffuse traces, outlines of where I might get, but I don't know how to get there.





I wish I could see a bit further, see the next resting place, then I maybe could find my way there.





Actually, I would like the road to be dry, warm, sunsoaked and caressed by a scented wind! Yes?







I might even want some company, someone to hold my hand, and tell me where we are going.






But, no, that is not my path right now. It is vague, and I have to wait.





So, here's to next month with my word! Here's to March, the month when I reach the big 40. Here's to a path that will surface a little bit more out of the vague and blurry.

Utsikter

Vintervädret är helt underbart. Vi har inte fått så stora mängder snö, bara så att det fortsätter att vara vitt. Nu är det inte ens så bittert kallt som det har varit, bara kring 10 minusgrader. Jag njuter, för jag räknar med att det snart kommer att töa och slaska.

The winter is wonderful. We haven't got very much snow here, just so that it remains white. Now it's not even as betterly cold as it used to be, only minus 10 degrees. I enjoy it fully, as I count on warmer weather soon.

Avkoppling

Det här är min första lediga helg sedan 17 oktober. Idag har vi firat Edvins 10-årsdag igen tillsammans med mina föräldrar, genom att gå på julmarknad i Nannberga gamla skola och äta hamburgare till lunch här hemma. Nu gör jag julkort. Underbart med ledighet!

This is my first weekend off since oct 17. Today we have celebrated Edvins 10 birthday- again, with my parents. We went to a christmas country fair and had hamburgers for lunch at home. Now I make christmas cards. Weekends are good!

Inramning

Adventstiden har börjat! Jag hoppas att den här julen får handla om stillhet och gemenskap, att vi kan begränsa våra ambitioner och åtaganden och njuta av det vi har här nära.

The Advent has started! I hope that this Christmas we will have calm and will enjoy each other, have pleasure in what we have close, at home.

Tacksamhet

Vi hade 23 grader kallt i onsdags morse. I förra veckan lämnade jag in min uppsats om torpens historia, efter att ha läst om människor strax innanför marginalen, på boplatser som inte kunde försörja fler än två vuxna (barnen var tvugna att flytta när de hade gått ut skolan) och inte kunde upprätthållas av färre än två vuxna (den som blev ensam kvar blev backstugusittare eller inhyses).

Jag är så tacksam för att jag har ett bra hus där mina barn slipper att frysa, och där vi är trygga och mår bra.

Wednesday morning it was minus 23 degrees. Last week i sent in my essay about the history of cottagers. I have read about people just inside the margins at farms that could not support more than two adults (the children had to leave home when they left school at 12 yrs of age), and no less than two adults (the widower or widow had to leave for an unsecure future).

I am so grateful for having a good house where my children are warm and we are safe and well.

Det finns uppenbar skönhet under hösten- och den mer dolda!

Get comfy

Uppgiften var att fotografera sitt eget mysställe, där man gosar in sig på hösten. Det här är inte mitt vanliga mysställe, precis, men i lördags kväll var det det. Efter en dag med oroliga barn och gnälliga föräldrar, slog vi upp militärtältet på ängen, eldade i kaminen och drog in med kvällsmat och Pang i Bygget på lap-topen. Sedan sov jag och Isak där till nästa dag. De andra sov inne, de!
